One highlight is the servo press system TOX® ElectricDrive Core. This houses a combination of drive, controller and software, which is capable of even more compared to the previous model: Thanks to the fieldbus, the plug-and-play-capable system is integrated faster, collects data and thus meets the requirements for predictive maintenance. Furthermore, its slim control architecture saves costs. For the integrated drive TOX® ElectricPowerDrive, a servo motor ensures the optimum drive torque. A screw drive converts this directly into a linear motion, which acts directly on the working piston. The efficient combination of maintenance-free motor and screw drive develops press forces between 0.02 and 1000 kN.
The core piece of the TOX® ElectricDrive Core system is the TOX® PowerModule Core controller unit. It is servo inverter and central intelligence of the drive control in one, and possesses a fieldbus interface, which it uses to communicate with the higher control. The system is operated via the TOX® Software HMI 3.1. It combines parameterization, operation, process monitoring, diagnosis and evaluation as well as quality management. The TOX® PowerModule Core exchanges data with the TOX® EdgeUnit – a small box, which is directly mounted on the servo drive. It collects all sensor data and forwards them as a bundle to the TOX® PowerModule Core. For this reason, TOX® PRESSOTECHNIK names it a decentralized intelligence.
New in concept and design is also the TOX® FlexPress Compact. The standard press not only enables flexible tool replacement, but also monitors the process and creates analyses on this basis. With the its integrated sensors and flexibility it is ideally suited to applications requiring precision and tasks with small parts in small or serial assemblies. Whenever changing components require replacement of tools and users want to record process and quality data seamlessly.
